[Johanna]
Um, now, his album “My Worlds” The Australian Edition, just went gold here, and we’re just getting started. And I’m talking really quick, so I’m sorry.

[Justin Bieber]
Nah it’s cool.

[Johanna]
Ohkay, uhm, so! Are you enjoying your stay in Australia?

[Justin Bieber]
Yes, I’m lovin’ it so far and it’s been amazing, uhm, the fans have been incredible, and uh, the weather’s been nice too.

[Johanna]
Oh, cool! Apart from the girls, what’s your favorite part?

[Justin Bieber]
My Favorite part about the, I like the beach. I love the beach.

[Johanna]
What about the beach?

[Justin Bieber]
Uhm, I like… I’m just a water kinda guy. I like to be by the water. Just, you know, just hang out…play beach football.

[Johanna]
Oh, cool. Okay! What’s your first impression of us Aussies? Like, when you first got off the plane and saw everyone there, what did you think?

[Justin Bieber]
I thought, you know, I was really excited that I had so many fans here. I wasn’t able to interact with them, you know. There was a lot of fans at the airport. I didn’t really expect it.

[Johanna]
Oh, cool! So we’re gonna try this really cool thing where we teach you Aussie slang. Ready?

[Justin Bieber]
Okay.

[Johanna]
Ohkay, Um, say “Thongs”.

[Justin Bieber]
“Thongs?”

[Johanna]
Not the underwear that’s not it, no it’s actually footwear.

[Justin Bieber]
Really?

[Johanna]
Yeah! They’re like flip-flops. Strange, but it’s Australian.

[Johanna]
Uhm, what about, “Shrimp on the Barbie”?

[Justin Bieber]
Shrimp on the Barbie

[Johanna]
Shrimp on the Barbie

[Justin Bieber]
Shrimp on the Barbie

[Johanna]
He’s pretty good isn’t he? Uhm, ohkay, what about “Bloody Hell!”

[Justin Bieber]
Bloody Hell

[Johanna]
That’s very good! Uhm, that’s not actually a swear word. It’s like a… well it is a swear word kinda but it’s not a bad one!

[Justin Bieber]
Bloody Hell!!

[Johanna]
Yeah, us Australians use it heaps[a lot], and yeah.

[Johanna]
Okay, last night at the camp-out, ’cause Ash and I were there, we went around and asked some question to all the people who were camping out and we chose a couple of them and now. That’s fine? Yeah! Okay?

[Johanna]
Sabrina and her friends from Sydney asked if you’ll be doing an Australian tour sometime in the future?

[Justin Bieber]
Umm, yes! I will be doing a tour in Austria, we don’t have any specific dates, but we’ll definitely gonna tour.

[Johanna]
Oh, great. And Sharri from Sydney asked, “How did you know you were a good singer?” Did you just know, or …?

[Justin Bieber]
Uh, I mean I didn’t really. It was kinda like my mom was always like, “You’re real good. You should, you know keep it up.”

[Johanna]
Oh, cool.

[Johanna]
So did you just enter the singing context from there, or… ?

[Justin Bieber]
Uh, yeah, it was a couple of weeks later, and there was a singing competition on in my home town, so I entered it and posted it on Youtube.

[Johanna]
Oh, okay.

[Johanna]
This next one is actually from Twitter. @JBiebsAustralia asked, “How did you enjoy your Australian performance on Sunrise?” Like, on the TV?

[Justin Bieber]
Yeah, it was fun it was fun, I mean, I would much rather perform for all my fans, but, you know, it was kinda a good and bad thing.

[Johanna]
Well we thought you did a fantastic job, so don’t worry about it. : )

[Johanna]
Okay.

[Johanna]
@AussyBieberLove, from twitter also, asked, “What’s your favorite thing about Australia?” I think I asked that?

[Johanna]
Sorry, sorry,

[Justin Bieber]
It’s fine, it’s fine. My favorite thing about Australia, like I said before, would be the beach. (two thumbs up)

Justin Bieber Early life

Bieber was born on March 1, 1994, in London Ohio, Bieber's mother, Patricia Lynn "Pattie" Mallette, was 18 years old when she became pregnant with her son. Mallette, who worked a series of low-paying office jobs, raised Bieber as a single mother in low-income housing. Bieber has maintained contact with his father, Jeremy Jack Bieber, who married another woman and had two children.[16][17][18] Bieber's paternal great-grandfather was a German immigrant to Canada.[19] His mother's ancestry is French Canadian.[20]

During his childhood, Bieber was interested in hockey, soccer, and chess; he often kept his musical aspirations to himself.[16] As he grew up, Bieber taught himself to play the piano, drums, guitar, and trumpet.[15][21] In early 2007, when he was twelve, Bieber sang Ne-Yo's "So Sick" for a local singing competition in Stratford and placed second.[5][21] Mallette posted a video of the performance on YouTube for their family and friends to see. She continued to upload videos of Bieber singing covers of various R&B songs, and Bieber's popularity on the site grew.[10]

Justin Drew Bieber

Justin Drew Bieber[7] (pronounced /ˈbiːbər/ BEE-bər, born March 1, 1994)[1] is a Canadian pop/R&B singer-songwriter and actor.[2][3][4] Bieber was discovered in 2008 by Scooter Braun,[8] who happened to come across Bieber's videos on YouTube and later became his manager. Braun arranged for him to meet with Usher in Atlanta, Georgia, and Bieber was soon signed to Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG), a joint venture between Braun and Usher,[9] and then to a recording contract with Island Records offered by L.A. Reid.[5][10] His debut single, "One Time", released worldwide in 2009, peaked in the top ten in Canada and charted in the top thirty in several international markets. His debut release, My World, followed on November 17, 2009, and was eventually certifiedplatinum in the United States. He became the first artist to have seven songs from a debut album chart on theBillboard Hot 100.[11]

His first full studio release, My World 2.0, was released on March 23, 2010 and has since received similar success; it debuted at number one and within the top ten of several countries, and was certified platinum in theUnited States. It was preceded by the worldwide top-ten single, "Baby," in January 2010. The music video of "Baby" is currently ranked as the most viewed and most discussed YouTube video,[12] and was the most disliked until being overtaken by Rebecca Black's song Friday.[13] Bieber followed-up the release of his debut album with his first headlining tour, the My World Tour, the remix albums My Worlds Acoustic and Never Say Never – The Remixes, and the 3D biopic-concert film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never – which had an opening weekend gross that nearly matched the record for the biggest opening weekend for a concert-film.

The singer has been nominated and awarded numerous accolades over the past few years, winning Artist of the Year at the 2010 American Music Awards, and being nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 53rd Grammy Awards, among others. Bieber is considered a teen idol, and has been subject to acclaim from fans, as well as criticism and controversy from matters concerning his popularity and image.
